Currently in Barcelona after having traveled to London and Paris. It´s hot. I´m sunburnt.

Having an excellent time thus far.

Good news though heard from my broker and my offer has been accepted. I´m buying my first apartment!

Update:

Contracts have been executed and mortgage is in place. All that is left is the co-op interview and I'm scheduled to close on Sept. 30th.

I'll be on Park Ave. and close to work!

Some pictures of the apartment... (note that it is still occupied and that the furnishings will be changed).

Happy Chinese New Years!

I pray that this one will be better than the last. I hear that if you are the year of the Dog ¡V better be even more careful.

Visited NorCal this past week... shamelessly stole this list from Matt of the places I visited.

Stanford Campus, University Ave, Valley Fair / Sanatana Row in San Jose, UC Berkeley Area, Telegraph Street, Emeryville, Union Square, Pier 39, Irving Street, Haight Ashbury, Twin Peaks, Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard Street, The Marina, Chestnut Street, China Town, Japantown (SF) ((sort of)), Ghirardelli Square, Daly City, and Foster City.

The great internal debate begins: NorCal vs. SoCal

Opportunities? Lifestyle? Happiness?

Funny thing is that I was reading Business Week and Forbes during my plane ride... in one of them, it listed San Fran as #1, San Jose as #4, and NYC in the 40's as best place to live based on four criteria... LA was someplace in between.

Discuss.
